PORTFOLIO SERIES

MEANING AND PURPOSE

This series represents my reflections on spiritual mythologies from around the world and throughout history. My curiosity is guided by a desire to understand humanity’s enduring works and traditions in the context of the current Age. I want my seeking, like the universe, to be unbounded so that the subject being explored can be revealed as its meaning unfolds.

ERRATICS

Erratics are pieces that do not fit into any thematically unified grouping, but which I felt compelled to create because the ideas and images persisted long enough in my mind that I could not ignore them.

Artist Statment:

My work is a visual exploration of humanity’s sacred stories. Although my work is sometimes process intensive, the production materials and methods used are always secondary to the development of the content. Every piece is an experiment without a predetermined end. My art aims to serve as visual poetry, creating a connection by indirectly describing that which cannot be named. This is as close to the truth as I can get.
